چکیده
Objectives: The purpose of this research is to evaluate and contrast the functional results Dynamic Compression Plating Interlock Nailing for Humeral Shaft Fractures. Material Methods: design study was a prospective observational study. This conducted in DHQ Teaching Hospital Gujranwala duration from October 2020 December 2022. We evaluated total 60 cases after receiving ethics committee permission our institute. In Gujranwala, on instances humeral shaft fractures needing surgical intervention conducted. Results: plating group, 76.7% had outstanding results, compared 56.7% nailing group. Moreover, group worse overall result (13.4% vs. 10%). Conclusion: Locking intramedullary statistically similar individuals undergoing fractures. terms union function, both provide excellent favourable but dynamic compression higher percentage positive propensity union. Locked intramedullary nailing versus dynamic compression plating for humeral shaft fractures.
PURPOSE. To compare functional outcomes, union and complication rates in patients treated with locked intramedullary nailing or dynamic compression plating for humeral shaft fractures. METHODS. 32 men and 2 women with humeral shaft fractures were randomised to undergo locked antegrade intramedullary nailing (IMN, n=16) or dynamic compression plating (DCP, n=18). Patients with pathological fract...
متن کاملCompression plating versus intramedullary nailing of humeral shaft fractures--a meta-analysis.
BACKGROUND The choice of plates or intramedullary nails for operatively treated humeral shaft fractures remains controversial, since randomized controlled trials have lacked sufficient power. A meta-analysis of existing trials would improve inferences regarding the treatment effect. METHODS We reviewed randomized trials in Medline, Cochrane and SciSearch, along with other sources of published...

PURPOSE To compare antegrade interlocking nailing with dynamic compression plating for humeral shaft fractures in terms of functional outcomes, union and complication rates. METHODS 34 men and 22 women aged >18 years with fresh humeral shaft fractures (up to grade IIIa) with or without neurological deficits underwent either antegrade interlocking nailing (n=31) or dynamic compression plating ...
متن کاملOperative treatment of humeral shaft fractures. Comparison of plating and intramedullary nailing.
Plate and screw fixation (PSF) has always been the more common surgical treatment of humeral shaft fractures. However, intramedullary nailing (IMN) of the humerus has gained in popularity over the last two decades. The purpose of this retrospective study was to evaluate the clinical outcome of plate fixation versus intramedullary nailing of midshaft humeral fractures. The study included 91 pati...
متن کاملControlled Compression Nailing for At Risk Humeral Shaft Fractures
Compression techniques seem to be the primary factor in determining the success of both plating and nailing techniques for the management of acute fractures and for delayed and nonunion management of these fractures. An intramedullary nail that can provide continual compression (like a plate) and mechanical manipulation of the callous throughout the course of treatment is an ideal device that p...
